DESCRIPTION:

Bawełna restaurant was build in four months with the aim of protecting the true atmosphere of this place – the oldest building of Izrael Poznański’s factory. For four months we used to call this place a “construction site” and we were here almost non stop. Most of the construction works because of their range and arduousness had to be done at night. The effect, however, was definitely worth it. We recovered, or actually dug, more than 100 m2 of the basement. This phase of our work together with cutting out parts of the ceiling between the basement level and the first floor level was the most difficult one. We took away from Manufaktura dozens of earth and rubble containers and we came with many tones of sand, concrete and steel. Additionally, we recovered and made visible original brick walls, which were either painted or covered with tiles. On the first floor we also recovered the old brick flooring. It is a bit uneven but forgive us, we had no heart to correct it. It is the way it is, they way it was for many years but covered by the concrete and tiles. What is more, bearing in mind that our guests should feel comfortable we exchanged all the plumbing, electric and ventilation installations. We drilled dozens of times and we installed dozen or so cables and pipes. All furniture, which You can see in Bawełna were custom made, according to our design and with a bit of our help.

The kitchen is definitely the heart of this place and we put all our hearts into preparing the dishes and choosing the high quality products. This passion and care are of utmost importance for us.
